QUIZ OF KOKO
Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small pieces of data a website saves in your browser, and “local storage” is the browser’s built-in storage that a site can use to remember small settings on your device. Both exist purely to make the site work correctly and conveniently for you.
2. What we use — strictly necessary only
We use only the small set of storage strictly needed to run the game:
- Session cookie (HttpOnly): keeps you signed in. It is an HttpOnly cookie, which means scripts on the page cannot read it, and it never contains your password.
- Browser local storage: remembers your last account on the device so you do not have to choose it again every visit. This exists only for your convenience.
- Internal analytics identifier: the anonymous player identifier used in our internal product statistics is derived only from the HttpOnly session cookie and is never accepted from your browser (see Privacy Policy §12).
- Server logs: standard technical logs (such as browser type) kept only to keep the service stable and secure.
3. At a glance
| Item | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (HttpOnly) | Keeping you signed in securely | Session / until you sign out or clear it |
| Local storage | Remembering your last account on the device | Until you clear it |
| Server logs | Stability and security of the service | According to the hosting platform’s log-retention policy |
4. What we never use
- No advertising cookies and no ad-network pixels
- No third-party analytics or tracking cookies
- No cross-site tracking and no fingerprinting
- We never sell your data and never use it for advertising
Because only strictly necessary storage is used, you will not see a cookie consent banner on this site — there is nothing to opt into.
5. Third parties
The service runs on secure cloud infrastructure (Vercel and Supabase); their infrastructure may process technical data purely to serve the site. Signing in with Google is performed by Google and is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. None of these parties track you across other websites on our behalf.
6. Managing and deleting cookies
Every browser lets you view, block or delete cookies and clear site data in its settings. If you delete the session cookie or local storage, you will be signed out and your device will forget the last account — and guest progress tied to the session may be lost (see Terms of Service §4). To keep progress permanently, claim your player with a registered account.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page and the update date at the top will be refreshed.
